10 Stunning Places With The Bluest Waters In The World
Few things beat the view of a pristine beach, with crystal clear blue waters–there’s a beauty and mystique about them which makes them so desirable to visit.
I’ve been fortunate enough to see some of the world’s most stunning beaches, and I never want to leave them!
So, if you’re after clear blue water and stunning landscapes on your next adventure, here are 10 destinations to consider.
Lanikai Beach, Oahu, Hawaii
Imagine stumbling upon a hidden slice of paradise—well, that’s Lanikai Beach. The name literally translates to “heavenly ocean,” and once you see the blue water, you’ll get it.
It’s a bit tricky to find, which is probably why it feels so peaceful. There’s not much sand to sprawl out on, thanks to some erosion, but the water is where it’s at!
Whether you fancy kayaking, paddleboarding, or just floating around, this beach has got you covered.
Peyto Lake, Alberta, Canada
For a view that will leave you speechless, head up to Peyto Lake in Banff National Park.
The hike is pretty easy, and once you get to the top, you’ll see why this lake is so famous. The water is this brilliant turquoise colour, and the surrounding mountains just add to the magic.
It’s one of those places where you’ll want to stop and soak it all in, especially during the summer when the colours really pop.
Rabbit Beach, Sicily, Italy
Rabbit Beach is easily one of the most stunning beaches that I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. It’s a true gem, and the water is as clear as it gets.
There’s plenty to explore as well. Prehistoric huts dot the shore, and there are lush trails perfect for a scenic hike.
Oh, and despite the name, don’t expect to see a lot of rabbits here—it’s all about the views!
Crater Lake, Oregon, USA
Now, if you’re looking for those postcard-perfect blue waters in the US, Crater Lake in Oregon is an absolute stunner.
It’s tucked away in the Cascade Mountains, and it’s known for its vivid blue colour, for those that have been, thanks to how deep and pure it is.
Trust me, it’s a bucket-list spot for anyone!
Porto Katsiki, Lefkada, Greece
Porto Katsiki is one of those beaches that you’ll feel like you’ve discovered yourself.
It’s on the island of Lefkada, and getting there involves a bit of a winding journey down narrow roads and steep steps (part of the fun, right?). Or, you can take a taxi boat if you’re feeling fancy!
Either way, once you arrive, it’s all about the clear water and those epic cliffs. Honestly, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.
Banana Beach, Koh Hey Island, Phuket, Thailand
You can’t talk about stunning beaches without mentioning Thailand!
Banana Beach on Koh Hey Island is one of my favourites. It’s surrounded by green jungle, and the water is unbelievably clear.
Plus, it’s not as packed as other beaches in Phuket, which is a big bonus for someone who appreciates fewer crowds, like me!
Fulhadhoo, Maldives
If you’re craving an off-the-grid escape with stunning scenery, Fulhadhoo in the Maldives is the place.
It’s a tiny island, with hardly any tourists, and the beaches are out of this world.
The water is so clear it’s like looking through glass, and the locals really respect the environment, so the place feels totally untouched.
Ipil Beach, Palawan Island, Philippines
Ipil Beach is the place to go if you want to feel like you’re not amongst a bustling crowd.
If you are a decent paddler and feeling adventurous, you can rent a kayak and paddle here from El Nido.
The water is as clear as it gets, and the sunsets? Absolutely magical. Plus, there are coral reefs and turtles swimming about, so don’t forget your snorkel gear.
Devil’s Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
If you’re in the Virgin Islands, Devil’s Bay on Virgin Gorda is a must.
You can either hike through the famous Baths (think climbing over massive granite boulders) or take a boat and enjoy the chilled vibes.
The clear water here is like something out of a movie, and the boulders create all these cool tidal pools and grottos that are perfect for exploring.
Tropic of Cancer Beach, Little Exuma, Bahamas
Last but not least, Tropic of Cancer Beach in the Bahamas is an absolute gem. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but that’s what makes it so special.
With its long stretch of white sand and clear blue waters, it feels like you’ve found your own private beach.
There aren’t any vendors or tourist traps, so it’s perfect for a peaceful day of sun, sea, and sand.
